LSA Blown LS3 Build

What's going on everyone!!! I finally pulled the trigger on a LSA blower and very anxious for it to finally get on island. Just want some insight on my build. Currently running a full bolt on setup with TSP 235/239 112LSA cam. Was wondering if I should get my heads ported and also if I really need to do a cam swap before blower install. I know I would leave some power on the table if I don't swap the cam which would be fine taking the fact later this year I will be doing a 416 stroker. Also contemplating on a gear swap to 3.73's?? Any insight would be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance

Well, where do I start? Oh yeah, my build thread ;o).
I have a VVT SS1 similar to your specs and kept it. I do have ported heads and if you're pulling them, not a bad time to do them.

Lots to consider but that is a start. My build thread is loaded with all the changes I made including cooling options..

3:73 should be good for manual, 3:45s for autos...

Thanks

-Don

You can always pm me too..

There is a ton on my thread as I've done pretty much all the mods... I am an auto, but, you'll find a lot to consider...

Thanks for checking it out...

BTW, ADM has an 8 rib setup for the LS3 with an LSA if you need that...

even if you dont swap the cam i bet you can still max out a stock short block with a blower. by max out i mean past the safe limits. sounds like you have healthy build in the future, good luck.

^^^

100% correct on very likely maxing out the stock short block depending on what you add....

You need our 8 rib conversion for a 416.

My bad on the late responses... only why I want to go 416 because theirs no replacement for displacement. That's the way I look at it.. Ultimate goal is 2 hit at least 800whp on blower n then throw a 100-150shot on top of it...

@adm I was on the website yesterday I plan on buying something's from y'all 2 finish the build

if you're planning a 416, why not go with a bigger blower right from the start? I'd think that 750-800whp is on the top end of the capability for the LSA blower with a 416, but with a bigger capacity blower like a Whipple or Maggie, you could get there and not be on the limits of the blower itself..

Then again, take it for what it's worth...I am sure no guru, but I love learning about all this stuff bc I hope to have the funds to get to that power level someday!!

Agreed from experience. The new motor will need a lot more blower.

You will love the car with 416 and Lsa .

We have done over 25 of this combo in both Ctsv and Camaro and not 1 complaint.
