Keith, was looking through some of the vids and post today and the vids for the Cherry Bomb exhaust are no longer there.

Cherry Bomb exhaust Cherry Bomb extreme cat-back exhaust...look for a few links in post # 21(cold start and rev) and #64 (take off and drive by) - - (Turns out that this is actually the V8 cat-back - not their V6 version - on this V6, but it bolts right up!)

Yeah...sadly thats just the nature of the beast, so to speak. Many of these links have been in place for years, and I can't control what happens to the videos so eventually some will go away, but the link is still at least relevant to the type of exhaust, so I will leave it in place.

Changing exhausts this saturday

I will be pulling off the flo master that I had installed about a year ago. I am going with Pypes catback mid muffler exhaust system. I am sold due to some youtube videos that I have been watching. I will post a video of before and after if any one is interested but the new exhaust will be installed this Saturday and should be at my front door tomorrow.

I went back and forth with the mid or the header version (long pipe) but the longer version was just too raspy sounding so I liked the mid much better. I just hope it sounds good once installed. Here is one of the videos that sold me on the system ...

Watch the whole video because he does drive bys

Exhaust with Resonator?

So I'm in need of an opinion. About a year ago I purchased the SLP Loudmouth 1 Axle Back Exhaust System for my 2010 LLT Camaro. At the time I loved the new sound but eventually it started to sound raspy and similar to a rice burner lol. I was wondering if the Magnaflow TRU-X Performance Resonated Universal Resonators would help eliminate some of the raspyness (if thats even a word). And if so would I have to make any changes to my already installed exhaust or do the resonators install more toward the middle of the car not toward the rear axle, thanks.

If you have just the axle back, and not the full catback, then yes, the Magnaflow resonated X will work, but don't get the TRU-X confused with the resonated X muffler that we all use.

The TRU-X will not help, but may actually make it worse (Yes, we use the word raspiness a lot here lol)

The resonated X will calm it down, and get rid of the rasp. Keep in mind, it will lower the tone (which is good in my opinion) but will also tame it down somewhat, so it won't be quite as loud and raw as it is now. To some that could be a good thing, and not to others.

The part number is listed at the top of the first post in this thread.

Thanks for sharing! Sounds pretty good.

If your ever in the Jefferson City area feel free to let me know. Wouldn't mind hearing that in person.

Don't get that way very often, and usually when I do, it's work related so I don't drive my vehicle. But, considering the fun I have with it, I may have to start driving it.

Sounds just like my Pypes Mid Catback. The thing I see so often is people pay a lot of money for exhaust systems for the V6's but in the end they all pretty much sound the same because a V6 can only sound so good as a V6. I am thinking that Magnaflow was well over $1000? I am just guessing. The Pypes Catback is $525. I am not being a butt hole but why pay over double for a system when in the end they sound the same?

I bough the Ark DT-S system. It looks great, but sounds like shit . If I keep the car in the Spring I'm going to have to find a new system. I should have just kept the stock system with GMPP mufflers.

What do you not like about it? It is a pretty calm system, that sounds best with shorty or LT headers. That's when it really shines.
