stolen parking spot

Yesterday while at lowes we scouted out a spot where it was against a curb. as I pulled just ahead of it at an angle so as to back it in this other car coming the opposite direction litterally pulled around my rear end and pulled into the spot i was already backin into. this totally pissed me off, I pulled forward then spun the tires in reverse into the spot one over from him. he gets out nervously and said, "oh were you wanting this spot too? I thought you were going to park in the spot where we were at"
I looked at him and said oh yeah I definitely wanted the curb spot.... this was one of those very awkward moments where I had to bite my tongue and it was all I could do to not do something mean when I left.

Relax, a parking spot is not worth a confrontation. Dismiss it has another dysfunctional gene pool member.

let the zombie have his parking space.

it might be a blessing in disguise.

it sounds like you were going to leave your car closer to a high-activity location, which means a CART could have dented your car.

It is obvious the guy saw you backing into the space since he did almost a u-turn to fit.

He is just a slimeball. Try to ignore these drivers if you can.

You never know what some idiots might do if you tick them off (even if it's their fault.) Best to be safe, lower your blood pressure, and walk the extra distance....it's good for you.

*I still recommend cursing them to that special hell reserved for idiot/inconsiderate drivers though*

The thing that really got me was that this dork had to see i was actually moving in reverse when he drove around the rear end of the car. he had to almost do a short u turn to even make it in the spot. my wife couldnt believe they actually did it. ii think the guy was quite embarassed when I got out of the car.

Exactly... I know it is hard to take the deep breath sometimes, but spin your tires like that or get up set and mouth off (rightfully so) and you may end up having two in your chest even though he was at fault. Generally the people at fault have little sympathy or are just flat out crazy...

What? Your wife didn't jump out and marshall you into the spot? If she'd been doing her job, you would have had that parking space.
Honestly - it's a pisser some idiot will do that, but imo you probably weren't far enough out in the nosebleed section. But.. it was Lowes... I understand. This time of year you drive the pickup to Lowes, then you can just back into the guy who tries to steal your parking place!
