Do not listen to dealers until after January 2009. Better yet, just listen to the following members of Camaro5 for 100% factual information about specs, features, and price.
• fbodfather
• Tran
• Dragoneye
• TAG UR IT
• gtahvit
• DGthe3
• Moose
• Radz282003
• KILLER74Z28

I'm sure that I missed a few reliable sources, and I apologize if you're one of them.

None of us have said that pricing of a V6 will come close to what your dealer has said.

I want a Camaro 2LT w RS & leather, and the standard manual transmission. That's all I want. I know that the final price that I can afford within my budget will be around 27k, because I'll have about 10k to put down. I also get the GM employee discount which usually gives me about 2k off general. So if what I want ends up costing over 29k, if my GMS price brings it down to about 27k, if it's more than that I'll be getting another Cobalt then... :(

ugh.. i wish these threads would stop. They are endless, they all say the same exact thing, they are all speculation, and they are all wrong. Not to mentions the pricing riots. Until we know official pricing, for real, it just needs to stop.

I agree. If/when the mods have time, we should put all the pricing speculation into a single thread - "Unofficial price speculations go here...".

It worked rather well for the Z28 issue.

so the mustang GT v8 starts at 26,425 so the base camaro ss would start 1k but less than 2k right? and the mustang premium starts at 28, 375 so the ss/rs will cost about 1k more but less 2k right? is that what he said. just clarifying.
