ZTA Spoiler and ZL1 Spoiler
Hey All,
Shopping for spoilers atm and I'm torn between the ZTA spoiler at phastek and the ZL1 painted from ebay. Any differences between the two besides one having a tail light and one doesn't?

They are different in style, but I am sure you noticed that. The ZTA looks to have a more aggressive profile as it leans farther back off the trunk lid. I don't know if the ZTA could have a wicker bill attached because of how aggressive the angle is. The ZL1 spoiler definitely can. The ZL1 spoiler will leave unused holes in your trunk lid that will either need filled and painted or covered with vinyl, but otherwise bolts right up.
They are both great spoilers, I had considered both of them but I went with a pre-painted Z28 style for mine (Ebay), as it is much taller in the rear than either of those (5.25 inches in the middle). painted to match (perfect match), fiberglass, and bolts right into factory holes. I only mention it so you know there are more options out there. I'm sure you also know of the Anvil Notch spoiler, which is another great option. The first pic is Z28 spoiler from the sellers website, the other is the Z28 spoiler on my car. https://www.ebay.com/itm/PAINTED-FLU...72.m2749.l2648

Yea, the profile of the ZTA is badass and quite unique. It's probably one of the rarest spoilers I have seen on these cars.

That’s what I thought! It is definitely more pronounced, but not ricer gaudy. It works very well with the lines of the car.

Both look great and are very similar looking obviously. It was the ZTA or the ZL1 for me too.
What can I say... love the gap! I went with the ZL1 because of the gap and the 3rd break light, now powered by a new harness I bought with the spoiler. I covered the holes with a matching SIM round decals (I got off Amazon) that held up great through many car washes, and were not noticeable before I finally took them to get filled professionally to match the rest of the trunk lid. Added bonus for me - the easily located wicker set for the ZL1 spoiler caught off ZL1addons.com. |
