Older gentlemen comments on my car

Yesterday I was getting fuel and checking the tire pressure, when and older gentlemen pulls up next to me waiting for the air hose. As he gets out of the car I noticed he had said something to his wife and she had a large grin on her face. I wish I knew what it was but it must of been a good one.
Anyways, as he gets out, he says to me "that's a beautiful Camaro, it looks like GM is getting their act together again."
I replied back, with a thank you and yes GM did put a lot of effort into making a quality car like the Camaro.
As I finish up he had asked to look in side and for me to pop the hood. Being a proud Camaro owner I obliged to do so. He seemed to be very impressed with the engine, and how it was put together.
So after a few more words with him, I get in, start it up and I'm getting ready to pull out. As I'm doing so, I hear from him, "WOW that car sounds like a beaut!!!"
All I could do was rev up the engine and do a rubber burn for him as I leave.. As I look in the rear view mirror I see him laughing and waving goodbye.

I've had several compliments on mine, and they are literally a dime a dozen around here(Military Town). Oddly enough I have gotten most of the compliments from middle-aged women lol.

Well, here's the deal. many of us old guys get it.

I am so glad I bought this car. Best damn muscle car I have ever had the chance to own or for that matter drive and enjoy.

No tune ups every other day, no 6 mpg. No safety issues, damn great brakes. I love the old cars, no doubt there. But this car is a huge advance over the cars built back in the day.

And I am 60 years old. Been there, done that, recovered and movin on!

I always enjoy it when I am fueling up and cops like to look at it. They always want to know if it is fast and I always reply that I have heard they are.

I have had MANY good compliments.

Even quite a few thought it was a Challenger.

1% young girls. Some take pic's.

I had an older fellow come up to me as I was pumping gas and ask a few questions about it. He called it "an old guys dream"... I then told him he better get one while he can still drive
