Haha. Maybe so. Still, I paid 38K for a 2SS/RS after all was said & done...figure in the additional everything will cost in 2 years...and then add the cost for that extra 150 hp...I figured that would be more than 7K.

I would think they'd make the Z-28 about $8K-$10K more than the SS. Maybe around $40-$45K base and $50-$55K fully loaded.

I bet it will be pretty much fully loaded at $45K and not many options at all.

I figure if a 2SS starts at $34K then just $11K would cover the cost of the supercharger.

So most of us think a supercharged Z28 will be around 45K. I hate to burst your bubbles but that isn't happening. A fully loaded SS can be around 40k so why on earth would the Z only be 5k more. This car is gonna be in the 60k-65k range no matter how bad we want it cheaper. Even with the Z28 coming out, I'll just keep building up my SS. The article said probably a low 12 sec 1/4 car with the Z28. Hell I can get that without adding a supercharger to my SS and for alot less cheaper. I'll just keep my R6P SS and I even think it will be more rare. I bet just about every SS owner trades up when the time comes. By then I will have my supercharger on and I will be quicker than the Z so it really doesn't matter to me. But to think the price will be close to 45K is just crazy.

Not me! The Z is hot (or at least, what we conjecture it will be) but at some point I've gotta draw the line on what I'll pay for a Camaro, & I think the Z will cross that line.

No where near $60K

The CTS-V starts at $58K. Thats on a more expensive chasis, with a way more expensive interior, suspension yada yada yada

I want what some of you guys are smoking a LSA is not going to cost $30K.

The CTS-V around my way is closer to 70k. You dont think you are actually going to be able to find one that isn't marked up like crazy. And if the CTS-V starts at 58k then look for the Z28 to be right around there too since the Caddy is no longer being made. If they make the price too close to the SS price then that would kill SS sales. Why get an SS fully loaded for close to or at 40k when I can get a supercharged Z28 for 45k. Doesn't make any sense. I think that we are in denial that a Z28 will cost what a GT500 does.

In today’s automotive market there may not be enough room for both a low end Corvette and a high end Camaro. I didn’t think Chevrolet will want to risk Corvette sales They should market the two cars in different price ranges. They could push the entry level Corvette price up a bit, but It appears that with the Camaro they tried and succeeded to price it under the competition. I would look for them to continue to offer the most car/power for the lowest price. Yes, I know the Camaro has a backseat, but buyer of performance cars don’t really care about things like at, they just want to go fast!

The GT500 starts at $47K
The CTS-V starts at $58K
The 2SS starts at $34K which is the loaded Camaro. We aren't talking 21 inch rims, GFX and stupid stuff like that.

The Z28 is not going to cost as much as a top of the line Cadillac with the same exact engine. Who is the one in denial? What do mark-ups have anything to do with what the sticker price of the car is going to be?

Looking forward to seeing the Z-28 on the roads and being the top dog but have no interest in owning one. Love my 2LT RS 305 hp is more then enough for having fun in. This trim lvl for what u get is a steal. I dont get too caught up in the hp wars as no matter how hard you try there is always someone faster.

and in the 3 years it takes the Z28 to finally arrive, you can enjoy the SS and there will probably be something bigger and better on the horizon.

Like a Limited production ZL-1 w/ LS-9.
