Drive up all backroads, Forks (unclosed section), Hockley, thru Barrie to Hwy 11.
Then maybe up to Southwood Road to Bala over to Hwy 400 and back down.
Details to follow.

Frank, if you've got nothing nice to post, then don't post.

Haven't seen you for most of the summer. What have you been up too?

I've got the route all planned out. Going to keep it a secret till the day of. I'll have directions to give to all the drivers.

If the weather improves for Sunday, meet up at the Tim Hortons on Queen Street at Hwy 410 in Brampton for 10-11am. I will be there rain or shine.

Google Maps has it labelled as Jack Astors. It's the same building.
http://maps.google.ca/maps?f=q&sourc...16512&t=h&z=17

We will cruise all backroads, Forks (unclosed section), Hockley, Orangeville, thru Barrie to Hwy 11 to Webers and should arrive sometime after 1pm for lunch.

From there, those that can/want to continue on, can follow me up to Bala, Glen Orchard and Foots Bay via Southwood Road and Hwy 169, over to the Hwy 400 and back down.

All in all, should be about 4-5 hours drive time. A nice and slow cruise.

I guess at this point, I don't need to remind people to bring a jackets, gloves, hats, earmuffs, etc. Maybe even a blanket. We can have a picnic at Webers since they've taken the tables out of the grassy areas. Supposed to be a high of 15, but better to be safe. Plus when we're just standing around at Webers, it might be a tad chilly. Also, have a couple of bottles of water, maybe a thermos of tea or coffee in the car with you during the cruise. Can't hurt to bring those fold up chairs either if you can.

Also, bring the radios if you got them. Channel 5.0.

Well Stan the forecast has improved dramatically for Sunday. But Saturday still appears to be a bit better... around here anyway. If I have to do work for one day this weekend I think I'll cruise tomorrow and pass on Sunday. But, if the Sunday weather keeps improving, you never know, my arm may be twisted

Well hope you can make it out Scott. I'm not able to do anything on Saturday and since others were clamouring for Sunday, I posted up for Sunday.

Have fun tomorrow.

I've been around driving here & there, been to the cruise nights on Sundays, can't make the Monday nights, conflict with work schedule.

If you're referring to the HDR runs, I'm tired of driving those lousy patch & potholed roads of Toronto . It's nothing personal towards the group, I actually miss the drives, even though it makes for a dreary, next day Friday, but I cope. You know that I patrol those streets every day.

Hey Frank. Yep, I figured that's why you don't come out anymore with us. But you know, we've changed up the route a bit.

401 to Yonge and straight down. Yonge is only bad from Bloor south to Dundas now. They did a real nice job with repaving Yonge from Lawrence to Eglinton. It's a very tempting street when there's no traffic. And the rest of Yonge isn't so bad.

And the odd time, we'll go to Bayview to Rosedale. That's a fun drive.

Anyways, hope one day to see you out there again. Even if it's too shoo us away from the hot dog stands. It is a no parking zone afterall.

I may get one more run in before the season is OVER . It's the Yonge st south of Bloor that drives me CRAZY , after that it's pretty good.

I'll never shoo you guys away, who are you bothering that late at night?
I'm not out that late, I only work until 8PM.

Well let's see. There the few limo guys that come by looking for parking. And they take up to 3-4 cars lengths. They cabbies are just downright dangerous. They don't care at all and will try and use the lane that we are parked in as a driving lane to get by cars. There have been a few and moments with them. Then there's the street sweeper that seems to come by everytime we are there. We'd all like a with him. And of course, the Brinks truck guys when they come to grab the cash out of the RBC bank machine there.

I wonder how much of a mess it will be once they actually start construction on that condo right across the street. We may be moving next year cause of it.
