NPP passenger valve rattle when closed?

I've been leaving my valves closed the past few days and am hearing a massive rattle on the passenger side on cold start and then when I accelerate from a stop. If I give it a quick rev, it also does it. I'm pretty sure it must be the NPP valve on the side not being tightly closed since I never heard it before while they were open.
Anyone else had this issue?

EDIT: got a video during a cold start

Confirmed it's the valve causing the rattle. I started it cold. As soon as the valve closes on the passenger side, the rattle starts. I took a long screw driver and could feel the valve rattling. As soon as I apply pressure to the valve, the rattle stops.

Considering it's a new car, not sure why you'd even attempt to deal with it. I'd take it in and have them fix it.

I just hate to give it up for a few days. Would be nice if it was something easy like a screw loose but everything looks good. Just too much play in the bar of the butterfly valve I think.

Any update on this? Mine rattles every time at about 1500 rpm. Bothersome when I don't have my music playing.

I noticed the same issue for mines earlier this week..just took it to the shop and turns out the muffler pan was not correctly installed and a loose bolt needed to be tighten. Problem is solved now

Car has been at the dealer the past two days for this and a radio issue. They have ordered a new catback to replace mine. Sounds like all my issues will be solved shortly! I know we are guinea pigs with these new cars, I'm just so glad GM has been so awesome about solving these early problems quickly. I'm very happy with my experience dealing with GM and the service department.

Any more info on this issue? Mine does it right when it shifts, then goes away when cruising.

just speculation, but seems to me they want to send this back for research for possible push back on the catback supplier.

is there a spring that holds the valve open?
