Who wants to get supercharged?

As many of you guys I am on the list to have one of the first Camaros off the truck.

I am looking to see who would want to get their car supercharged? I am thinking of going with an ATI Procharger as I had on my 99 T/A with awesome results. I am going to try and get a group purchase going ( I own a parts company). I am going to see if ATI will give us a good deal on the new system when released, if we can get 10-15 orders or so.

So I want to know who might be interested in getting in on a group purchase to get us all a great deal on a supercharger for these bad a$$ new cars. I would be willing to look into any other group purchases if you have ideas. Just post and let me know what you are looking for....

I am not on here to sell anything for my store, or to turn any profit whatsoever, I just thought we could get a group of enthusiasts together and try to save eachother some money!!!

What do you all think??

About how much do you think they would run?

I paid about 5k for my setup on my trans am. I would expect to be a little more expensive as that was years ago. I would like to think they will do the same thing for the camaro though...The package I bought had EVERYTHING you needed to finish the job in your own driveway. I paid for the install and was done for about 6k after dyno tuning. I will put in a call to ATI and see what they are expecting.
I would also expect about a 45% RWHP increase with a good dyno tune!!

I personally expect to run about 5 or 6 psi for the first year or so until I rebuild the bottom end, then I may increase to about 10psi. I will be driving the car, so I want it reliable and driveable.

I also considered a high HP N/A engine, but I am having a hard time deciding what I think will be more reliable and driveable...

Might check with Magnuson...Wm Holden commented quite awhile back they'll have a setup for the Camaro. I would like to see a rear inlet roots type that could probably easily be setup with cowl induction under that hood. If/when I see the day mine will be getting pressurized, it'll be with roots type.

The SS is already gonna be a tire shredder without it...BUT... It would be interesting to say the least.

If you guys want to try and see what Mag will build for the LS3...I would be happy to look into it also. But I would need to get 10 or so onboard for it. I think it could be a great system..I just have experience with the Procharger, that is why I brought it up.

I am looking for all of your thoughts, and if we can come to some conclusion, I will get on my dealers and wholesalers to see what I can do to get us a great deal.

I would love to supercharge mine if GMPP offers a kit.

A similar thread is available here.

I'm seriously thinking about it, my Camaro is not going to be my daily driver and I want to make a kick ass street machine out of it.

The problem with GMPP parts is getting a good deal. You have to set up a relationship with a dealer to be able to get anything done...I have tried, the dealers in my area were not interested.

I would be willing to check on Magnuson, ATI Prochargers, and say SLP long tubes (when available), LSX intakes, throttle bodies, I even have a guy who will build a stroker and install it, etc... Just private message me...But for this thread lets stick to Supercharging.

I just put in an e-mail to Magnuson and ATI, we will see who gets back to me and who can enlighten us about the plans for the Camaro....
PM me if you are interested in getting a group purchase going for this or other performance parts when they are ready.

If somebody is interested send me a Private message or post in here!

That is 2....we are going to need no less than 10. If anybody is near Pittsburgh, PA...or wants to make the drive, I would be willing and able to assist in installation to help you save even more money.
