This message will come on when: . The engine coolant temperature is higher than 76°C (169°F). . The vehicle is accelerating from a stop and going 24 to 31 km/h (15 to 19 mph). . The vehicle is at 21 percent throttle or less. And you don't have to remember...it won't let you. It physically locks out 2 & 3rd gears. |

well..yeah...I get that. But in locking out 2nd since you're already shifting that way, the normal reaction would be to shift to 4th. My friends GTO locked out 2nd but you could still shift in to 3rd. I guess they changed it?
and btw.... http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...27#post4410127 I tried to get you to sticky this a week ago! |

But for what it's worth the skip is a non issue with the LS3 if you keep the RPM up a bit. I think I've hit it maybe a half dozen times in two years due to traffic. You can also double clutch to avoid it ...

Oh, and it would appear that ZL1 has a huge combination of chassis controls....
You can turn Stabilitrac & Traction Control Off, On, or just Stabilitrac On... You can select MR Tour or Sport in any of the above modes... And you can enter PTM, which gives you 5 more tailored settings for the track. BMW eat your heart out! J.K. EDIT: No mention of no-lift shift, though....unless I missed it... |

Don't forget to save this onto your iPhone or iPad. A digital manual is better than the physical one

ZL1=Auto transmission=many left-out options! For one thing it does not have launch control, next it doesn't have the ability to shift to 1st after the first start and after that it starts out in 2nd. Replace the hard to reach buttons with paddles cause those buttons are harder than hell to find when turning the wheel! I'm surprised the test drivers have not complained about the little buttons when going around a corner!
This auto transmission deal looks like it was taken out of a truck and just slapped in the car just so it could be sold with an auto trans. My opinion Chevy screwed up this option and needs to reprogram the computer to down shift too 1st in setting 5. |

You know there are NO SHIFT BUTTONS on the ZL1 - it has Shift Paddles. And, the transmission (A6) has been tricked out to stay in the torque RPM range automatically when slowing down so there is no delay. I LIKE IT! Last edited by htron50; 02-08-2012 at 07:09 AM. |
