Him buying his charger costs as much as you buying yours. They don't sell them at a discount because your cat came factory with one.

I think what Tahseen was trying to say is that the GT500 comes with a blower from the factory, so it's inherently expected to have that part, and as such, one would be paying accordingly for it at resale.

On the contrary, a supercharged 2LT is more an anomaly, so the "investment" in the modification will not yield the same return as would one who already has a supercharged vehicle.

If I tried to trade my GT500 in with its whipple 3.4 (not factory) they'd try to screw me.

Heavily modded GT500's do command a nice premium though on the private market.

I actually pay less for my superchargers than say a 5.0 owner would, ask Witt.

I don't need the lower manifold/intercooler, heat exchanger, oval throttle body, front drive system, tensioner etc. Because the car came with them. Now I ended up upgrading all of that stuff anyway.

For me to do an SC upgrade, I basically just need the compressor

A whipple 2.9 upgrade for a GT500 is $3700, same kit for a 5.0 GT would be around $6800-7000. This is not including any fuel or tuning though.

Are there regular get together's for the Pittsburgh Camaros? I'm about to move to the Cranberry/Mars area and will be looking for people to cruise with/hang with.

Cranberry quaker steak and lube has a weekly car cruise, I think it is Tuesdays. There is the Friday evening Starlite church cruise.
