Black and silver...was easy to see why they had been sitting so long. Black was beat to shit inside and out. My black '01 SS with 130k on the clock had nicer looking paint. Both cars also drove like they had the snot driven out of them.

Then we went to go look at the 2011 1SS 6 spd manual SGM with 2,500 miles.... :-0 Car was like brand new, had been stored, covered, in a heated garage year round, and was driven a couple hundred miles a year. Did some dickering on the price and walked out with it at $25k. Car is fantastic, absolutely my dream car, going to have this one a looonnnggg time.
take care off that color, good luck with your new toy

I would think the older gen 5's are having a few more of the minor issues, that were ironed out by 2013, thus a lot of people looking are educated to some aspect, and passing on them.

The SGM SS is a rare car. Only available in 2011 in limited numbers. It's a beautiful color, but I might be a bit biased....

I can see why someone would think that, but I've seen a couple customer satisfaction surveys that suggest owners have had less problems with the early cars than the later ones. This car was in the works for a decade before it finally started production, they had tons of time to iron out issues.

I'd really like to know what all these 2010-2011 issues are. I haven't seen many actual 2010-2011 owners post much. For those who don't think these models handle well, I'd suggest going to a HPDE and going for a ride in the passenger seat while a PD takes your car around the track several laps.

Very good deal for a great and truly rare car.... they only made about 200 or so of the 1SS SGM Camaros with the M6.....so take care of her!

Additionally, make sure to find this thread and peek through for ideas...

Thanks! I couldn't find any concrete numbers, my guess was less than 500.

This was my absolute dream car since they came out, so this thing is going to get some love haha.

Congrats man. I am moving to NH in the next year. Maybe we can cruise to some car shows. Just please, no grey stripes on that SGM. If any, white. J/k, it's your car. I just think the grey takes away from the color.
Yeah definitely let me know! That is one thing I miss from when I had my 2001 SS, we did a couple car cruises and shows and it was always a good time. There are a couple local places around here that have weekly cruise nights. One of the spots that I have been to a number of times with or without a car is in Concord NH, is a weekly meet up set up by an ice cream stand. They block off the parking lot and only people showing a car are allowed to park there for a small donation to a local charity. Get some cool cars from classics to modern muscle and some military vehicle restorations.

For now the plan is no stripes of any kind, car looks amazing the way it is now, no need to cover it up with vinyl!
