Nah, I'll definitely pass on this add on...it's quite silly...the heritage of this car mixed with a new age "for the moment"-(allbeit good entertainment-GO BRUCKHEIMER) hot movie theme is just weird, IMO....

I agree! I loved the movie and realize the car is not perfect but a decent job. Although not my choice, I prefer a black car, but it looks good just the same and in my opinion GM did not go too overboard with the design. As for me I respect everyone’s opinion, hey whatever you choose is cool but really I’m just glad the Camaro is back and mine is on order!

I think that is Thor in the pictures............

Its the same car from TF1...... I've been in both cars. With a new hood, front and wheels.

The paint job is very costly, a friend of mine wanted to get his car done and it was going to cost him 9k......

Again its a Transformers edition not a BB edition.

To each his own, me I think there a to many emblems on the car. I would have either done the wheels or the fender not both.

sometimes is better to let it go... you won't convince everyone and I know you try. lol.. but for your own health sometimes is better to let it go... we need you to last to the 6th gen, 7th gen, 8th gen and so forth...

Actually I kinda like it..!

The official version is subtle enough just to be cool. The movie version's front (the 2 black stripes in Transformers 2) is ugly though.

It would have been cool to have it available in red, so you could get cliffjumper.

I'd also like to see the autobot symbol in red like it was on the original line of transformers.

I had some strong opinions earlier about this, but you know what...I agree people should be able to buy what they want. Will it be collectible? No. Will it help sell even more camaros? I'm sure it will. I've been catching crap from a pilot over on a vette forum for the GT1 package on our vette. I guess it is much the same with this car.

I still think the "its not a bumblebee" comments could have been alleviated if GM had offered their "transformers" edition on ANY color the customer wanted. Then offering an IOM one to ComicCon would have prevented all the talk of this being a "bumblebee" edition.

I think that is my major issue with this car...the fact that it is yellow AND a transformers edition...which naturally leads the masses, including myself, to think "bumblebee" not "just some other camaro-bodied transformer."

A. Chevrolet will begin to accept orders for the TRANSFORMERS Special Edition Option Package on Thursday,
July 23, 2009. Production will begin in August 2009, and the first units should begin to arrive in dealerships in
September 2009.
Currently, the production run for this option package is scheduled to end in December 2009. At the end of the
production run, Chevrolet will announce the number of Camaro models produced with this option package
(option code: CTH).

Please read the thread, it's not meant to be bumblebee, nor is it advertised as such. It's called a "Transformers" edition.
