BROKE SOMETHING

Okay guys, I have a 2010 Camaro SS with a nasty cam. I am in the process of trying to learn how to do burnouts. My buddies kept saying, “oh man it has so much power, just put it in first gear and dump the clutch.”
Well that worked, some what. But now I have an issue, something is broken. So for sure I seen my end link go flying into outer space, you can see this in the video lol. Now, when I shift gears and let go of the clutch to fast there is a noise, sounding something like my tire hitting a fender. Any ideas?

I atleast got the burnout on video lol

Here you guys go https://youtube.com/shorts/_7czFM-J5j0?feature=share

Axle? I see in the video both tires leave marks immediately then the right one doesn't.

If you look closely in the video you can see a spark and something going flying like a bullet on the left wheel. Well after further inspection under the car, I did notice my end link on that same side is now completely missing and broken from the lower control arm. :(

I have and all I really can notice is a missing end link on the rear left wheel. Would that cause any noise? It seems like the suspension would just be out of wack, not making noise... I’m really not sure, I don’t see anything else.

Yes, sway bars can make noise. Plus, if you tossed a link, what else might have happened? I would have it on jack stands are start yanking on things to see what might be loose. End links are relatively cheap, so put one in and see if the noise goes away.

Why no black mark on the passenger side? You doing a one wheel peel? While your under there, spin the differential input yoke and see if both wheels spin and if the diff turning feels smooth.

One wheel peel, will destroy the spider gears. Possibly wrong diff fluid or too much lsd additive. Could also be that the clutch pack is worn in the diff. That needs corrected!

All of the above for sure!! I would put that baby on a rack and check out EVERYTHING, especially the axles and diff, check for looseness and movement with the pinion and axles.

Oh man that’s scary to hear. Uhmm it drives great honestly, I can’t feel anything broken. However I can definitely hear something making noise when I let the clutch out to fast. It sounds like something hitting something. Kinda like a wheel hitting a fender. I don’t see anything obviously wrong except the broken end link. It’s completely gone lol.

BTW, if you're going to be doing clutch dumps in a manual do yourself a favor and get a set of M/T bias plys.

End link could be slapping. Only 1 wheel laying rubbing will cause the spider gears in the diff to spin too fast, destroying it. Normal driving, you'll be ok.

The factory trailing arms are crap. You caused it to excessively wheel hop wayyyy too much. Get trailing arms to keep those toes in the road. I have some BMRs. Good stuff
