Car Shipper Recommendations
Looking for reasonably priced, dependable car shipper to move my 13 Camaro from VA to FL, late Oct/early Nov.
Any recommendations?

I used "Black Mustang Transport" out of West Springfield Ma; 912 268 7267; to ship my SS from
Ct to Lakewood Ranch, Fl. Call direct and save agency fees. Great personal service. Great pick up and delivery times. Smaller shipper. My Camaro didn't even get dirty this past January.

Most pricing is between 600 and 900. I can't help the timing, I am making a permanent move.

Who ever you choose make sure to find out if they are the carrier or a broker. It's best to deal directly with the carrier.

"There" is used as in "That's my car over there" "Their" is used as in "That's their car over there". Just trying to help show the difference in these 2 "Sounds the same-but spelled different and different meaning" words.

How you ship depends a lot on how you use or value your car.
The first issue is open vs closed trailer. As I'm sure you know, new Camaros are delivered on open trailers, unlike luxury brands such as BMW. Cars on open trailers get dirty, which is unimportant. However, in Winter, they get exposed to road salt and brine. You may find that unacceptable. (I ordered my Camaro to be built in the middle of the Summer for just that reason.) Since you are shipping from VA in October or November, that shouldn't be an issue so you can save a lot by going with an open trailer. The second issue is the company. Many companies you find listed on the internet are just brokers who place cars on the next available independent truck, so you don't necessarily know what kind of service you will get. That may be fine with you for a daily driver. But if you want kid glove service, you should go with a collector car transport company like Reliable Carriers or Intercity Lines. Choosing one of those also means an enclosed trailer and a hefty cost, like over a thousand bucks, and limited flexibility in scheduling. Personally, for a trip as short as VA to FL, my preferred solution would be to drive the car, but I assume you have good reason not to. Cheers! |

^^^ LOL
On a side note Montway transportation 100000% recommend. They were extremely accurate on pick up timing and the car arrived 2 days early! I shipped my car home from Florida back to California. They picked it up Tuesday around 5pm car arrived Friday at 6pm. Car was in perfect condition on arrival and they let me pack my stuff in it as well. Extremely impressed with their service and will forever use them and recommend them. Btw I’m not affiliated with them at all I was just that happy with their service LOL.

A lot of people misuse the word "your" when they should be using "you're", as in: This is your own Camaro....and You're going to love this Camaro! Some will use the "your" in trying to say "Your going to love this Camaro!" which is entirely wrong! OK...I've gone beyond where I started....sorry I got carried away!
