New here, need some help identifying this bolt? It has a star head to it. I was changing my brake pads and stripped it. 2013 Camaro ss Brembo (from the factory) I went to several Chevy parts places but still no help. They advised that I would have to buy the Brembo caliper . Any help

I would just like to replace my factory pads. Does anyone have any suggestions on what brand/item I should purchase? Wagner ThermoQuiet?

Can anyone confirm if the torque spec for the caliper bolts w/Brembo calipers is:
44lbs plus 90 degrees?
Had also read 65 LBS

Which one is correct??

44ft lbs + 90 degrees. They come with yellow (medium strength) thread locker from the dealership too, and are considered torque to yield so I would use thread locker if you're re using old bolts. But personally I'd order new ones online for a few dollars a piece.

On a separate note, I am worried the torx bits are going to seize next time I change brakes. Should I anti seize it or just leave it off completely? All it does is hold the rotor to the hub, which is what the lug nuts do anyway... The reason I am worried is because I just tried to do a brake job on a Honda and the screws on those rotors were seized and prevented me from doing the brake job because I couldn't get them out.

Im in the same boat, what are the true oem pads? Cant seem to find it anywhere

If you want OEM pads get AC Delco as that is the GM replacement part brand. I have Hawk ceramics on mine if your looking for an aftermarket upgrade.

Its been said before, I'll say it again, Thanks for this writeup. I did all four corners this morning (new drilled/slotted) rotors and pads.

Will probably paint the calipers when I buy new wheels/tires.

I used this method also when I changed my front and rear pads last night and I also reused the shims on my rear pads that came off the factory ones. The DIY really helped me with this and I will use it at a later date when my rotors need replacing since I still have 3MM left before getting to the minimum thickness on the factory set.

I did them today, bought the Wagner TQ ones and they had the same numbers as the Brembo ones just didn't say brembo. Even said made in Italy on the box. Now, does that mean they are OE brembo, I have no clue, but they stop well, and I did the heat cycle thing that is suggested on here. Time will tell if they work well, but so far so good.

Hissing cannot come from the pedal itself.

Buy a cheap stethoscope, and have a helper press th pedal while you locate the source.
