Any more info on this? My car is being held (#18278), it is also a manual. Was just wondering if there is an issue with them.

This was the statement by 2010 SS RS on the Built and Bayed thread:

I actually found the thread as well and found it very interesting that a regional rep would be the one making such an announcement....I bet that any such statement would come from Scott Lawson who heads that department responsible for such statements.

I am in daily contact with Management at GM doing the updates for all QC cars. I have already answered Hawks and I just saw another post seeking the same answer.

At this point there is no official word from GM regarding any car or group of cars being held in Quality Control. Each and every Camaro5 members cars that are in Quality control can get updates from their Dealer, Customer Service or post on the Quality Control thread and GM will provide the current status and if delivery information is available give that information as well. This information is current as of 2:00 pm mst.

Everybody knows somebody that had a friend that was told by so and so something regarding the Camaro and its production.

The only facts we know is that GM is making every effort to provide a quality vehicle that will be free of manufacturing defects. A car being held in QC will never be identified for the reason it is there unless an official recall is made. Some are there for paint or body issues, some are there for electrical issues, some are there for missing parts. Whatever the reason the main thing to remember is that they are being held so that they can be repaired and meet the high standards of quality that we all expect.

Hopefully you all can not panic for the rest of the day and If I do hear any official statements regarding our cars I will make sure that it gets posted right away and we will track the repair process right there with you.

Where am I now? Sitting at home on Camaro5 instead of in the garage making preparations to bring my car home. Didn't make the cut before the shutdown and my best guess it will be another 30 days before it arrives. It is what it is...no big deal.

I have friend that works for GM here in florida and he gives me better info than my dealer. I know more that they do. Mine was built on 7/2 and is stuck inQC until they open back up on 7/13. Should ship sometime next wek to South Florida. Vin 24068

Mine must be there with yours. 3400- 6/20 and VIN#23136. Guess I am not in huge hurry since we leave on vacation this weekend and will be gone for 8 days.

How do you know if your in quality control or not?

You'll have to verify with your dealer that your cars status is 4B00 or the CS line will tell you that it is in QC. Then hop on the Built and Bayed (QC Hold) thread and give 2010 SS RS or Hylton your VIN and Order Number and they will help you track from there.

4B00 as of this morning. My stripes are being installed by dealer.

I am 30 minutes from Oshawa.. My dealer is about 45 mins from them so I am hoping for it to be shipped tomorrow or Wednesday for delivery to dealer by Thursday. If so I can pick up Saturday....

Man i hope this works out I am dying to get this car.

My car was striped and shipped on the same day. It took TWO days to get to Texas from Canada. It has been sitting at the rail yard for 8 days. It needs to go about 17 miles from the rail yard to the dealership. I feel as if my head will soon explode.
