Replacement AC Delco battery

I found this battery at the local Autozone with the same specs as original battery but it seems too cheap of a price. I see its only 18 month warranty but I wonder if its the same as the original battery. Guys at Autozone have no idea, I looked around the net but can't seem to find much info about it. Anyone a AC Delco battery guy around here?

18 month warranty doesn’t make one feel warm and fuzzy. Who knows, may last as long as the 3 year one but, could be a crap shoot.

Im using a battery from Tractor Supply. My truck has a $69 90 day Autocraft. I have always used budget batteries. Usually get at least 6 years out of them. But that's just me.

I think sometimes you are just paying for the warranty when you buy a battery too. Its the same weight as the 36 month battery too. My current battery is from 14 and still seems good but I was going to buy this as a spare with a alt to take along on long trips. Because our cars do not warn you if the alt fails until you get below 11 volts. Not getting stuck with that again.

Same name and look but made with cheaper materials internally, I'm guessing. I'd get the long
warranty version.

That is Ac Delco's Advantage line. That is not what came in the car from factory. The Advantage line is the cheaper Ac Delco stuff. Call up a dealership and ask for a battery. Be nice and see if they can hook you up with a better price. See if they are a wholesaler.

The Braile Batteries? Yes, but.

They are not intended for large displacement high/compression engines. With that said, they do work. Some forum members are using them or similar batteries. I myself see no need in a lightweight battery on a daily street car. There are other places to lose weight that will make a bigger difference. Such as suspension, wheels, brakes, ie unsprung weight, or interior. Also, take in consideration your driving habits. A large number of short trips may drastically shorten the life of this battery. As it will see a reduced level of charge from the alternator. But, yes they can work.

I have over 50 lbs of junk in my trunk anyways. I found after looking on the net Acdeco makes a 42 month battery if you cab find it. Autuzone has a nice Platinum battery too with much more power 1000cca but 57 lbs. The Delco is 720cca 42lbs.
