I will try this and see what happens also.

From what I understand the AC compressors in some early cars have issues. Mine in my 2011 was replaced under recall.

Yep thats what it sounds like to me also, if it starts out cold and then stops cooling, its freezing up.

Ya might try not running it set quite as cold.

Yes, our American cars are the suck. Yes, of course the Camaro must be babied like you had mentioned.... or it will fall apart. Buy one, pull the battery, put it up on blocks, buy a case of Zaino, and put it in the garage under a car cover. Lock the garage and be done with it.

I frequently have to turn my A/C off because I get too cold when driving. I have a 2010 2LT/RS and have not had any issues. Maybe try another dealership.

No need to be jerks guys, OP is just lacking some knowledge about the camaro. If you have nothing to contribute your comments aren't needed.

Sounds to me like you need to find somewhere else to take your car. if the issue is repeatable (you can make it happen for the mechanic) it shouldn't be that hard to troubleshoot. Since it's probably out of warranty find a reputable local shop to take it to.

I've had cars from many different manufacturers foreign and domestic and the overall quality of American or in this case Canadian cars is on par with the foreign cars. it's not 1980 anymore.
Things do fail on all cars. You just need to find someone competent to repair it.

Haven't worked on many Audis have you?

Have you changed the cabin filter?
Is the charge correct?

Had an 84 Celebrity that did that, it was low on freon... Has anyone checked the freon level? If its out of warranty take it to a dedicated AC shop... I bet they can diagnose and fix it.

The compressor is where I would think the problem is. I have had the gauges on my car and they are perfect for the conditions.
