Help selecting the correct tires size.
Hi everybody.
I'm looking to buy new wheels but they only have them in 20"x9" front and 20"x 10.5" rear (https://www.ebay.com/itm/4rims-set-2...72.m2749.l2649) My current wheels and tires are 245/45/20 front and 275/40/20 rear. I was told the wheels are a bit wider for my current tires so I'm trying to figure out the correct tires size I'll need to make them fit better. I'm assuming I'll have to go wider but have no idea when tires are concerned. Any help would be greatly appreciate

275/40/20 up front and 315/35/20 in the rear. These are both 28 28" tall tires

I was thinking the same thing for the front 275/40/20. And 305/35/20 for the rear.

305/35/20 is also doable in the rear, with only ~0.25" difference in diameter compared to a 315, less than how much a tire wears over its life (which is roughly 0.5").

Is there a benifit of running the 315 over the 305?

Your more vulnerable to stone chips on the quarter/valance.

Never thought of that 🤔... So overall the 315 is a better choice for the 10.5 inch wheels. I just hope I won't have any rubbing problems.
Thank you guys.

I went with 305's on my 20x11's based on the previous owners recommendation.

I could have went 295 front and 315 rear but I stuck to the stock size 285 and 305.

I went 275/40 front and 305/35 rear. My wheels have a 25 and 45 offset. I'm worried the wheels might stick out too much past the fender.

The factory ZL1 wheel specs are +23mm front and +43mm rear, so your wheels will be 2mm further inward. Nothing to worry about unless you're lowered a fair bit.
