Looking to see who else may have experienced water related hood switch electrical issue. Tracked ZL1's and SS most likely.

Cold weather here in Michigan.
Smartphone remote start didn't work. Error "Ensure the hood is closed and try again."
All looks good to me from the window. Key fob also wouldn't remote start.
Get in and starts normally. Check-Engine light with P257D code.

Dealership feedback is possible heat soak from racing, plus water intrusion from rain, plus freezing... simply fried the latch switch. Regardless, they replaced the latch mechanism only, not the front wiring harness, all under 3/36 bumper2bumper warranty.

Oh... and confirmed remote start is disabled to prevent starting while a mechanic is working with hood up. Safety first.
