160 thermostat part number?

i just put on my maggie and want to change the thermostat but i cant find a part number for it. can i get it at a parts store or do i have to go back to chevy to buy?

The most common one out there is the SLP 160 Degree Thermostat.

There are several vendors here selling them. Morano Racing comes to mind as I have seen it on their site:

I highly doubt the dealer will sell you anything but he stock unit/temp.

Then your best bet is to start calling any and all performance shops in your area. The standard aftermarket (Kragen, NAPA etc) most likely won't have anything to offer just yet....

Thanks for the info. No shops around here to go to for them. I would have to order and ship and don't have the time to wait. Looks like plan b.lol

I installed my maggie without the thermostat. i wouldnt worry about it until you get the one you want. It's right up front and easy to change. I know, i know you have to remove the hoses again. I would recommend you re route the hoses and don't use the hose magnison sends. get the ones that have the 90 degree bend right out of the firewall
