I've got it dude, crush two pop cans, and stick one on top of each rear tire. When I was 5 it made my bike sound pretty mean XD

for those of you who had a problem with what I said; I was not bashing I was simply offering advice; I was in the same position when I was 16 and if someone that has already been there and dun that told me that putting exhaust and hot roddind a v6 would make me look stupid I would of listened im just trying to save the kids dignity..... simple as that....

I understand what your saying, but I'm in no way trying to hot rod this car. I'm more interested in maintaining it's longevity. And I do have to get a new exhaust, I might as well make it worth while. I was done doing things to this car up until now, might add a CAI, but I don't want to hot rod it

Before I say anything, I'm not bashing either, I'm just giving my opinion, sorry if it sounds mean or anything.
We've all got Camaro's, we bought em for a reason. Those reasons may be different, but regardless, it's car that is going to inevitably get modded, V8 or not.
If nothing else, an AM exhaust on ANY vehicle is far far healthier than the stupid restrictive factory set up.
Look at it this way. It may be an American Muscle, but it's V6 counterpart still puts out a good 200 ponies. For me that's enough to have some fun in. A bunch of the import have V6's and some of them 4 bangers, and they still get modded too. What's wrong with playing with your car? You don't have to have the big fancy V8 just to play.

I had Flowmaster 40 series on my 3.8, sounded pretty decent...

Not true, you just have to spend an unreasonable amount of money to re-do your exhaust from the headers all the way back to the tips.

To the OP, Magnaflow is going to be your best bet in your situation.

My 3.8 sounded similar to this. You could get a real rumble out of it- under load, and below 2500RPMS it almost sounded like a V8. After 2500 though, it showed it's true colors lol.

I've got a TSP Rumbler catback on mine with no headers and it sounds great (granted it's a V8). It isn't obnoxiously loud, it's got a throaty rumble and it's affordable (got mine for a bit over $250 with no tips). After you get headers on it it'll sound menacing, but even without it it sounds perfect . Not knocking on the GMMG, but it seems like TSP gets you the best bang for your buck. My buddy's got it on his SS with longtubes and you can hear him coming from miles away, best exhaust sound I've heard.

Only that Magnaflow kicks ass and it'll last forever.

Borla's a little to rich for my blood, but from what I've seen you get what you pay for.
