OBD2 Diagnostic Devices
For you guys that are using an OBD2 Diagnostics device, I have a few questions.
Can I still connect to my radio with my phone for Pandora while being connected to the Device? And which device are most people using or have used? |

I use the OBDLink MX Bluetooth with DashCommand app, and have no problems streaming music from my phone though the receiver.

Good to know. Are you able to view your data on the radio as well?

Yes, OBD 2 should have nothing to do with your bluetooth for the radio even if it is a bluetooth OBD device.

BT has two lines of communications, MEDIA and PHONE. When you are using the
OBDII BT Adapter, you're on the PHONE data stream. That leaves the MUSIC one open, so you can still stream music from the phone, while receiving data from the OBDII adapter. THAT is the simple explanation, if you want the technical aspect, you can look that up. |

I bought a bunch of those "As Seen On TV" Micro Mechanic ones when they went
on sale to $5.00, and I even got one for $3.00. They are true ELM327 adapters. They work with ForScan, unlike the Chinese ones that claim to be ELM327, they're not. I am using Torque on my '08 Mustang, with an Eonon Android Radio. Last edited by '10CamaroDude; 12-10-2019 at 08:13 PM. |

Good info. Also, for you guys using Torque Pro, can you view Knock Retard with it? I could on my SCT handheld, but have since sold it due to custom tune. I want to be able to keep an eye for KR since i've had issues before and still seeing some in 5th and 6th gear at times, as we work on the street tuning.

Any input on the Torque Pro app, as far as if Knock Retard can be viewed? Or is anyone using a different App that allows for this to be viewed?

I would like to know which app is best, Torque or Dashcommand? How do they compare in performance and visuals? Thanks.
