Within 6-months of the new model introduction to dealers, many of the same who commented have or are planning on trading in their old model. Happened with the 14/15 refresh, and the intro of the 6th Gen. Not unique to Chevy and the Camaro, same thing presently happening with the 18 Mustang GT. I really like the car, and the addition of the A10 to the SS is going to be huge.

There is merit to the sour grape old model argument, but that alone cannot explain such a low acceptance level of the refresh. It does change the look people have been around for 3 years, and I do get the resistance to change, so there's that. However, to me and apparently an overwhelming majority of owners this design feels an inconsistent, hasty quick fix to appeal to new buyers that now leaves the exterior in a semi-finished and lacking state. We'll see in a year, though, and if sales start soaring even without a power bump, interior/trunk roominess or any chassis changes, I'll be the first to come back and admit the error of my ways. The A10 definitely is a loss for current SS owners, including myself, but I made a conscious decision already knowing the A10 was coming, and have no regrets---the warranty is there to save my butt if needed, and I'm far from being a good enough driver to really be hampered by the actual perf difference between the A8 and the A10.

I think the base Camaros sales may increase as the looks are improved. However I think SS sales may drop or stay the same do to the flowtie placement alone. In my eyes the GT has the looks over the SS, SS has the performance. I want the ZL1.

Just found this video that has kinda changed my mind about the looks of the 2019 SS. I actually think it looks pretty good, so it will likely look really good in person. The tail lights were the worst looking part to me before, but those even looked ok in this video. Still not sure about the bowtie placement, but it's not that bad.

Lol, I don’t like the front end at all including the hood after watching the video. The rear is a push, I am not a huge fan of the current rear end or the new rear end! Something is just off front end and hood wise, it looks cheap, like an economy car trying to be a sports car. The photoshopped car with the flow tie moved up and centerline painted, looks a lot better, but even then, the hood was way better on the previous SS.

As to speed the SS and GT are now about equal. But as to handling even the standard SS thrashes the non PP2 Mustangs. As it should be. The Chevy is the BMW of the pony cars. And BMW is back on the road to becoming BMW again. And I predict the ZL1 1LE will thrash the new GT500 on any track except the 1/4 mile kind. The ZL1, and especially the M6, is kind of slow in the 1/4 with all its power. Not sure why GM allowed that after chasing the big track guns with the ZL1 1LE. GM are you listening? Can you help us with the bog if we agree to own the diff if you do? It really is stout as has been proven.
