Nope...just the M6, and only the early 2010's.

TLC9193 did not break the output shaft, it was the axle that broke

Mine broke today for the second time...my VIN is 2G1FT1EW5A9179818

The first time the dealer just replaced the output shaft. Today something internally broke and sounded alot like when the output shaft did...

Great.

Is the list on the initial post of this thread the entire list of reported output shaft failures of Camaro5.com members? I count 28 cars...which in the grand scheme of things is a tiny percentage of the 25,000 cars "possibly" affected. I also believe many of the 28 cars listed were modified to make considerably more than stock HP and TQ when the shafts actually failed. I'm wondering if I am indeed worrying about this more than I should be...

Everyone who has reported a failure on this thread has been added to the first post, so, yes I guess you can say it's pretty complete. 28 out of 25,000 is a very small amount but we truly don't know the exact number because I'm sure there are many out there that either aren't members here or just haven't reported a failure. The only ones that have a true number is GM and I'm sure they're not going to reveal the number!

I'm thinking that if you have a pre 25,000 vin and it hasn't failed yet it probably won't.

I'm thinking you're right too... especially if I've tracked the car several times and have had no problems. My vin is very close to at least one failure listed on page one, but i guess that probably doesn't mean much either. Thanks for compiling the list by the way. I just recently first heard of this issue and have been nervous about it ever since, but it seems as though everyone elses worries ended sometime in 2010, as there doesn't seem to be too much recent talk about it aside from a few new entries that also had major power upgrades. I just hate to mod and have mine snap the next day...

I was gettin ready to sell mine until GM decided to replace my whole transmission due to other problems. Killed 2 birds with 1 stone! Haha! Now I don't worry about the output shaft failing anymore!

I just re-read this entire thread and see that all but one person had their transmissions fixed under warranty even with tunes and other mods... which is good to know. It seems even that guy eventually won a dispute with GM to have the repair covered.
