Super Car Reunion 14 @ Rt. 66 Speedway 7/29/11
So yesterday was the annual Supercar Renunion that gets together Yenko’s, Nickey’s, Berger’s, Baldwin Motion’s, Copo’s and all of the other cars that are considered a supercar. This year it was held at Rt. 66 Speedway in Joliet IL and in some really hot weather. But that did not stop some owners from bringing out their incredible cars and running them on the track. I have a few photos and video, which I will have to put up later this weekend, for y’all to enjoy. I am sorry there are not more but I was way to busy having fun listening/watching them and almost forgot I had my camera. Then I actually got to run some of these cars and spent the rest of the afternoon on the track.
I know these pix aren’t of 5th Gens, although Nickey had at least 5-6 out there, these are the roots of our cars. Please enjoy. This is an original ZL1 and the original owner Ken Barnhart who is a really cool and nice gentleman that I had the privilege to chat with. He still drives this like he stole it and I have video of him ripping down the track with this. (to be posted later) I overheard that this car is worth 7 figures. This COPO just got quicker all day and on Polyglas tires. Near the end of the day he was running mid 11's. A new school and old school Yenko that were beautiful. The new Yenko smoked my @ss but he was running a 427. This Yenko wasn't on the track and you can clearly see why. You could eat off of any part of this car. Of course if you did the owner would have killed you. T.

Was that white COPO all stock going 12.1@116? I saw the polyglas's....very impressive.
