cancelling my order - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

It's quite sad for me to state that im gonna cancelling my camaro 1LE order because the dealer was gonna buy my current camaro 2LT RS with 13,000 for $23,000 two weeks ago but I went on trip and wanted to take all tge parts I added before trade. So I take off all parts and take it and thry offer me $18,000 how in hell does a car drop.in price $5000 in two weeks.

So with the $23,000 I was gonna get, and $16,000 I was gonna borrow from my dad and $7,000 I saved up I was gonna pay it cash... But now is a no go $5,000 is alot it took ke months of hard work for $7,000 so tomorrow I say bye to my 1LE dream.. I'm still gkad to see a lot of u getting your cars soon... Mine was on the first wave for tpw 10/15 and I think I read that they moved it a week...... Oh well it was not meant for me.

According to your numbers, 23k for car, 16k borrowed and 7k cash, that's 46K for the 1LE? that's way too much, is it a 2SS with all the bells and whistles? I would not give up, I'd find another dealership and get them down to 41-42K, minus a few extras maybe. I think your better off waiting for the end of the year to get a better deal.

I ordered my 1LE 2SS RS with a bunch of goodies(NAV; Premium Audio upgrade; NPP) and it came to $43,8XX. I was quoted "below invoice" :P

Keep saving & wait/look around. A good deal will come at you and dont settle for less of a car that you dont want cuz like you said that is a lot of money and you worked hard for it.

The dealers want to sell u a car,this is what u do play them agaist each other email,call as far as u would go to get the car.Have them email u a deal and forward it to the next.I used this way when my mom was going to get a new car it worked great.They will cut there throat to not let another dealer get the deal.

You should be able to order a fairly well loaded 2SS for closer to 42K, maybe 43K. Contact another dealer. If you sell your parts and find a delaer with a better offer you should still be withing your financial window.

Why give up on ur dream?!?!?! Get the 1ss 1le for $38,000 and live a nice life. There goes ur $5k again.

Don't give up that easily my friend. Chase her down! not alot comes easy in life but if you keep at it I am sure you could eventually swing it. Ask the dealer if they will offer you 23 if you throw your parts back on?

Find a dealer that is willing to give you what you want for your car, or sell it privately and maybe get more.

Is it because the added miles from the trip? Did you get the trade price in WRITING?

I didn't drive my car to the trip... The difference in miles from that time I took it and yesterday was 200 miles . I Called the guy who ordered it for me.. he didn't even try to get me a better deal or stop me so its official at 7:55 am today my 1LE order has been cancelled ..Sorry Guys I coulnt be part of the Team
