AutoGuy, did you ever get the list of IPC vins and where they went. I'm retired and would be glad to make a "registry" of 2011 IPC's, but I'd probably need a little help in the set up as I'm not real good on the puter.

Howdy Fellow 2011 IPC Owners,
I'm trying to make a 2011 IPC car registry and I need your help to do this. I've got the last eight numbers to each of the 500 IPC's but need the full VIN, date of birth if you know it, the transmission type (manual or auto), and to what dealership it was shipped to. My info will be available to all 2011 IPC owners when I have enough info to make it worth while to do so. Thankyou in advance for your help Jathead 1945 |

2011 Indy Pace Car Registery
OK, here's the latest in the Registery that I'm trying to set up. It will NOT be on-line, but in my word documents. It will NOT be sent out to anybody who asks for a copy of it. It will only be sent to those who contribute their information. There will be NO reference as to who the owner is or any other contact information on it. If someone wants to contact another Pace Car owner, I will contact that owner and let them know this information and then leave it up to them to contact the other person. I want this list in part to find the phoney pace cars that are out there (I have found two so far). I also do not like these fakes. If anyone wants anything left off the Registery about their car, VIN #, etc. I will honor their request and not publish that info. I also want to respect everyones privacy in this project. My goal is to make the list while the information is still available. I am retired (66 years old) and have the time (while its raining here in Portland, Oregon). I make all of my contact information available up front so as not to try to look like a "Bad Guy" in this project. My intentions are only good, believe me. Thank You, and I hope that you will all be a part of this project, and if not....I'm OK with that too.

Jarheads Registry
I've sent Jarhead my info on the two Pace Cars I('ve) own(ed). Y'all c'mon. A good complete list would be an asset. A lot of the older special Corvettes and Camaros have lists like this. Helps keep things "honest".

2011 CAMARO FESTIVAL CAR VIN"S / INFO and 1 MAY BE AVAILABLE
2011 CAMARO FESTIVAL CAR VIN"S / INFO and 1 MAY BE AVAILABLE
I secured 3 of the 50 Festival cars and myself and my 2 friends purchased them. My #19, and 21, and 25. I chose the #19 car cause the VIN ends 169169 and I am a 69 Pace Car buff. How cool is that!!! what I know: There were about 25-30 Festival Cars max that were available to the general public. GM had most on them spoken for. But GM was obligated contractually to give Each Dealer in the region at least one as per their Adv. Contract and that's all most received!!. a few of the big dealer received a second. I have alot of the VIN's and saved all the ebay auctions for them showing VIN when the dealers were selling them right after the race. I have a list i made that tells which dealer had each of the cars. Not sure how to get all that info on this site. I also saved many pics off of flicker and the track's site as well from the parade and track. Would all be good info to archive on to the site for the hobby for future generations of collectors to be able to google/find. Any pics you guys may have of #'s 19, 21, and 25 or any cars on/at the track would be appreciated! I think one may be for sale if anyone is interested. Probably would take around $10k over sticker to get it. Would also be cool to know how may guys have a 1969 Pace Car as well. 2 of us do. Good Work Smkymts!! Good Intel from the track 5thGenindy500 |

Parade car # 35 was purchased by the New car Sales manager at Les Stanford Chevy in Dearborn, Mi. after his wife insisted that the convertible was dangerous to their kids, he sold it to a local Michigan buyer. I may be ableto get more info since he is a friend and is where I got mine.

If you are interested in finding out what number in order your car was built out of the pace cars you need to PM jarhead your vin number, I was a bit concerned at first sharing my info with him but I believe he's doing this for all the right reasons, he has a sequence number list of all pace cars and with any vin number he can match it to his list and tell you what number in order your car was built, he is also painstakingly putting together a complete registery of all cars produced. The personal info that you give him can be as limited as you wish. I gave him my info and hope others will as well.

Hey Guys a few questions for you. I have a 2011 Pace Car but would like to beef up the exhaust sound a bit. Any suggestions? Or should I just leave it stock? Does stock hold more value in the end? Your thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks!

Go ahead and put what ever exhaust sounds best to you, just save the original stuff it can always be put back on before you sell it.
