Is the intake manifold on a Pontiac G8 the exact same as on our LS3 Camaro?

I am looking into purchasing a ported intake manifold (supposedly, the porting work was done by CPR) from a new Camaro5 member (even though I am always skeptical because I don't want to get screwed out of my money since this person only has 1 post, but that doesn't always mean something bad), but this ported intake manifold was from a G8 and has 8,000 miles on it. Is there anything in regards to this intake manifold I should be concerned with? I don't know if the LS3 G8 is the same as our LS3 Camaro (I still need to clarify which year G8 this was from because I think they switched to a G8 later on). Is there anything different between them?

Thanks

Little 88 asked it right...the gxp=ls3. Honestly not sure about the other manifold.

Only ask because the only difference between the L76 is the same except the L76 maps has a clip style and the Ls3 has a screw down type. Other than that its the same thing.

THat's what I was hoping because I believe that's the only G8 with the LS3 motor. I am waiting to hear his response to that exact question I sent him via PM. He did say he had LS3 heads, but I'm curious as to whether he had LS3 heads because he had an LS3 motor, or if he has a different LS motor with the necessary parts that allowed him to use an LS3 instake manifold with his motor.

Thanks litle88, and Bo. I just checked the pictures he sent me and his has the screw down type, so I would assume I'm good to go. He says there is about 8000 miles on it. I sure hope I get an professionally ported intake manifold and not a hack job (that probably won't be able to be corrected), as you never know buying something from someone on the internet, and I hope it had only around that many miles on it. He/she could be the nicest, most honest person, but you who knows. The price is $200, which doesn't seem to bad at all.

Thanks!! I'll let you all know how the transaction and the install goes. One thing that always makes me worried is that I purchased this from a member with only 1 post. Who knows, someone can easily join to sell things that see people asking for that particular used product on this website. The seller said he/she has a G8 non GXP, but he/she had LS3 heads on their G8, so the LS3 intake was compatible. They kept great communication, even yesterday when I paid, but I am waiting to hear from the seller after my recent PM asking when the item will ship. I haven't heard yet, but I'll give it until tomorrow until I send another message. I paid via PayPal, so I will pursue action to get a refund if I don't hear anything after a week or so. The seller was really nice, so I always give them the benefit of the doubt at first to get the product out as promised.

Edit: I just looked at the sellers last sign in time on Camaro5, and it was around 1:14PM today. I sent the PM at 9:08AM this morning, so they have time to reply. Hopefully this won't become a situation of where a person pays and the seller drops off the face of the earth.

Yea I know the feeling, so that's why I have also sent people my cell number to ease their worries and I always ship ASAP and add tracking numbers.

Good luck

Is there any install tips or instructions anywhere online that you all know of to install the intake manifold? I guess I could just take mine off and install the ported one, and then do all the steps in reverse essentially, but I'd rather have instructions to ensure everything is just right.
