Question JBA Competition exhaust w/shorty headers?

Does anyone have this combination?

I asked in this thread about two weeks ago, but never got a response from JBA or anyone else.

I want to know if there is a major sound difference between the system with LT's and shorties.

If anyone has this setup, or can find a way for JBA to respond, it would be really helpful.

Thank you.

Yes, the JBA 6813S long tubes with the JBA 40-3113 Competition Catback will be louder than the 1812S Shorty's with the JBA 40-3113 Competition Catback.

Here's why.

The JBA Long Tubes require that the factory Catalyst system be removed and replaced with either a cat-less or high flow cat assembly. The result is a very free flowing (Off-Road) exhaust system that has an aggressive and loud Muscle Car sound.

The Shorty's retain your factory Catalyst system which includes an after-Cat assembly and a Catalytic Converter. These factory components significantly lower the DB's on your complete exhaust system. As a result there is a sound difference between the two systems.

Ive been considering the shorties as well. I installed JBA's 3 inch competition catback a couple weeks ago. Sounds great and is real loud for just a catback. Wondering if I want to do shorties or longtubes next kind of like the OP.

Here's my question to you Greg since this is the exact same subject. Say someone, like myself, who has the 3 inch competition catback that mates up to the factory downtubes wants to go to yall's longtubes later on?? Can yall just sell the correct midpipe for the headers so we don't have to buy an all new catback?

And also, why does the catback for the longtubes have different mufflers? Or is it just the pictures. Heres links to reference what I'm talking about:
