Arrow If You Could Afford a Shelby, Would You Still Have Chosen Your Camaro?

I actually don't like Mustangs, and probably would've gone with the Challenger R/T if I hadn't bought my Camaro SS. I mean I love everything about my SS: the performance, the design, etc. I'm all about American muscle, especially 60's and 70's muscle cars. Although I don't like Mustangs, I LOVE Shelby's. But there is no way I could afford it. I'd love to get my hands on a GT500 in the future.
So my question is this... if you could afford a Shelby, would you still have chosen your Camaro?

I will never own a Ford product. Ever.

I still feel soiled having driven my dad's Mazda B2000 back in 1980, which was identical to the courier.

I had the chance to buy one and turned it down...a year later I ordered my Camaro SS.

I love the GT500s...but in the end, the Camaro was more appealing to me.

Believe me, I'm not a Ford fan either. But Shelby's...

For that kind of money, I'd rather buy a used Z06 than a new GT500

The money is no object. I'd never buy a Found on the road Dead no matter how sexy it might seem to be. The Camaro is far better looking than any Junkstang could be. With the money in price difference you could build your Camaro so it would blow the paint off the Shelby. No offense Caroll Shelby.

But it's still a Shelby!

Plus, I don't have that kinda money. I don't even have the money to get a cat back exhaust and a cold air intake right now.

My father owns this kind of Ford and when I drive it, is NOT a feeling that I have!

Yeah, too much faboyism is bad. People need to get out of there shell every now and then.

to answer the OP, no. I want the Camaro because I like the styling, and the LS motors are my favorite. If the Camaro wasn't around I would definately get GT500 though.

Old or new Shelby?

I would feel bad driving an old Shelby, but a new one would be lots of fun to drive.

I like the GT500's, but I'd rather buy a 2SS and use the extra money to mod it.
