Clutch take up sensitivity. Adjustable?

My 2SS/RS 6M has a very touchy clutch. It engages very quickly when I just let out a little. This is making it very hard for me to do good quick launches because I often bog it. I have owned 4 Mustangs with 5 speed manuals and their clutches were much more forgiving. I have had my Camaro now for a little over a month with 1800 miles on it. I can finally drive it smoothly but I still suck at launches.

Can these clutches be adjusted to give me more travel in the peddle before it fully engages? I feel that is what I need for my style. I guess I’m just not that accurate to be able to feather the clutch in just 2” travel.

I need to get better at quick launches before the day comes that some Mustang or god forbid a Ricer pulls up next to me at a light. I do not want to embarrass myself or the Camaro.

it sure seems like the ratio could be better... just sayin....

Abrupt clutch takeup is a common complaint for the 2010 Camaro. I'm fairly inexperienced with driving a manual transmission, so I am a bit worried. Can this be modified away?

I think some more seat time will get you that correct launch, dont blame it on the clutch lol.

OR go but another mustang?

Nothing pisses me off more around here when someone tries to shut the door on a legitimate discussion by saying "deal with it or go buy a Mustang". Why are you even here?

I agree too dangit. I did not say I wanted another Mustang! My CAMARO is way better than any Mustang I ever owned, I absolutely love the Camaro and it is the best hot rod I have ever owned but the clutch is just a little too sensitive for my number of birthdays and response times.

I checked with the dealer’s service department and they said there are no adjustments because it's purely hydraulic. I will just have to get use to it. The jerk that made the negative remark unfortunately was right that I will just need more seat time, if he just didn't add the other comment.

I just picked ours up from the shop yesterday because the clutch stayed to the floor 3 times. They had to bleed the master cylinder to solve the problem. Now it is much stiffer and like brand new. We have also had the problem of it slipping out of first and reverse. The dealership couldn't get it to happen so they said they felt safe giving it back to us but to call if it happens again.
