BBK Throttle Body??

Will the BBK 95 MM throttle body yield a horsepower increase? With a tune? Thinking about getting one!

LS3 intake manifold opening is 92mm. So the 95mm throttle body will not increase hp for the cost of it.

Same benefit of most the other ported throttle bodies. Increased throttle response and maybe the tiniest power increase, probably immeasurable.

It is one of those mods that you do to increase the effects of another mod, such as CAI, headers, etc. It all adds up.

so, question - i have CAI and headers, with hi-flo cats, would adding a throttle body add anything worth the price. i know that is a subjective question but just wanting your opionion. i was think about adding one as well but hesitant on if it is worthy. oh, i am dyno tuned as well

Adding a ported throttle body adds very little hp if any. The real reason for getting them is better flow, and getting rid of lag in the throttle. Same thing with porting the intake manifold, no gain just better flow.

Not really and if you haven't yet, don't buy the BBK throttle body. MANY on the forums have had issues with the plate sticking. I'd recommend either a Bo White ported throttle body (which I run) or a VMax ported throttle body. While you don't gain anything more than 1-2rwhp what you get is better throttle response which feels like more power.

No HP gains on the dyno. Road racers benefit from throttle response, that's about it.
