Hurst Shifters in production?

Are the Hurst Shifters in production yet? My dealer said that there still a few weeks away?

Word going around is that the stock shifter feels better anyway. It was more a supplier issue and I think they said the RPO is going away.

It was just grapevine it's supposed to be a little easier to shift. Then again the Hurst is supposed to be heavy duty feel.

its not on hold from Hurst. GM is moving the option to a production line install . The hurst is a much better unit than stock . I do know the issues are getting worked out now

I just cancelled my hurst shifter so the order can go in. My sales rep. (who as far as I can tell is partially retarded) told me that they can add the shifter after it gets here, whenever GM makes it availible to the dealers. So in a way it's good because I'll get to use the stock shifter before I switch it and can decide for myself which is my favorite. The thing that pisses me off most is my sales rep. could have told me this 2-3 weeks ago so I could have dropped my STS option to get the order in sooner, hence why he is retarded.

The shifter isn't available from Hurst yet. My brother had to pre-order one at his dealership. Then again, he had to pre-order the CAI also which I thought was readily available.

The shifters have already been done. GM is moving the line from accessoriy option to production option and making some running changes. I know this for sure

Just trying to figure out if this means what I think it does...

So it will still be Optional equipment to us, but instead of coming from Hurst to say, straight to the dealer for install, they are moving it so it can be installed right at the plant itself?

This should not have affected your order. The Hurst shifter was on my order and my car is built. Maybe it is planned to be a dealer installed item.
