Hello,

I have a cashier's check in hand for a clean 1LE on the west coast with no sunroof. Prefer to also have dual mode exhaust and Recaro's, but these options are not a deal breaker.

Willing to pay fair market value for any 1le in great condition. Please do your due diligence and research the fmv of your vehicle prior to offering.

Oh lol. Not sure what market he's looking at. My price is negotiable and in line with 99 percent of other the other same/similar optioned cars out there. By fair market value I suppose he means everyone should be giving their cars away so that it's fair for him and not for the seller. Good luck with that.

No he won't, two years ago I went back and forth with him for a minute when I was selling my 141LE. The alias says it all.

LOL. No, Fair Market Value as in a fair value within range specified by trusted sources such as Kelley Blue Book or NADA Guides. These are some of the same tools used by car dealerships when purchasing used cars.

Your car and many like it are sitting because....they are not listed at a fair market value. They will continue to remain listed for that very reason.

The longer you wait the more it will depreciate. That's why I sold mine last year!

Mine is actually exactly at "fair market value" for a private sale using those sources... And that is just my ASKING price meaning I am willing to take a lower amount than my listed price. So you just proved the validity of my price based on your own criteria for determining how much you think you should pay for a vehicle.... Congrats, you played yourself. Good luck finding your imaginary car.

Not really sure which source you are utilizing but "Excellent Condition" value from kbb is $26.4K and NADA "Clean" dealer retail is $29.5K. So if your car is in excellent condition it would be a good idea to list somewhere within that range.

If my imaginary car does not show up I am sure I will just be pulling the trigger on a new 1LE. We will see what happens.

Maybe you're not optioning the car out properly because Im getting $31.5k on both KBB and NADA for excellent condition. Make sure youre looking at private party and not dealer trade in value (gave me a range of $26k-29.5 on NADA as a trade in value). Anyways good luck on your search.
