Went away mid Oct for me. Hoping to get it out mid April but it all depends on the year. I don't mind it getting a little dirty, but considering sometimes I still need 4WD to get up to my house in spring an SS (no matter what the tires are) just won't cut it until the roads (hills) are dried out. I yearn for her though. I can't wait until spring , and I like the winter!

Not far from Chicagoland. Haven't had mine out for a week now. I'll take it out when the roads are dry. Mybe take it around the block to keep everything lubed and the tires round.
First two winters it was in Oregon so just got rained on. Last winter was in SE Texas, got as low as 31F for a few hours.

^ This ^...... I drive mine whenever the roads are dry. After 25,000 miles
and 3 1/2 years my SS is still blemish free. Store it and watch it depreciate- No thanks.

Not until a REAL good rain washes everything away!!!

Depends. Usually, it goes away at or slightly before the first salting of the roads. It can come out anytime from mid March to early April depending on the weather. Last year, it could have come out earlier (epic warm March, in the mid-80s several days), but that was unusual.

Ummmmm, stored on Sundays, maybe, if I don't have to go somewhere.
Daily Driver YEAR round! Best vehicle I have ever had for winter driving(all season tires).
Just turned 90,000 miles!

She's covered up sleeping in the garage right now - but I wake her up as soon as the ice, snow and salt are cleaned up. No set time period. Just waiting for the weather to cooperate.

When I had my 66 Corvair I would store it in a rented heated warehouse over the winter. Every 3 weeks or so I would go over and start it up and drive it around the warehouse until it got up to temperature. Then parked it for another 3 weeks... Never had a storage issue.

This of course is in conjunction with old fashioned road salt and a fairly new calcium-choride spray that is basically a salty brine that gets into, under, and behind every panel, bolt, or bracket. They don't start sweeping the mess up until about April, and there are still remnants of it around until at least June.

You can easily tell if any Camaro around here is driven year round by simply looking under it... there's no way to get all that crap out of every crack, and anything unpainted or with a plated finish is corroded and rusty looking in short time... not to mention the hundreds of stone chips. While I'd love to be able to drive it year round, It just ain't happening around here.
We get that special blend too, "sand" with chemicals added. The sand has small rocks in it so it's quite gritty. When the road spray and slush from oncoming traffic hits you it's murder on your paint. You might as well just stand in your driveway and throw handfuls of gravel at your car.
They use that nasty brine here too. Like you say, you can sure tell who drives their cars year round and who doesn't. Since I have a winter vehicle too, my Camaro got parked for good after Thanksgiving and will come out once the street sweepers/sprayers come out and rinse the highway off. That's usually late march or early april. Length of storage depends on the weather more than set dates.

Mine has been in my garage since the day after Thanksgiving. We had some pretty good weather here in Pittsburgh so I kept driving it. My wife and I got a 2013 Escalade Platium in September and we still kept driving our Camaro as long as we could. I won't be taking it out of the garage until there is no snow on the ground. Last year it was around April I think..
