4th Annual Cruise for a Cause - Nov. 9, 2013 - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Saturday, November 9th, 2013

The cruise will have a police escort from the Orange County Sheriff’s office.

LOCATION:

Starting location: Energy Air – 5401 Energy Air Ct, Orlando, FL 32810 (map)
Ending location: Wekiva Island, Longwood, FL (map)

EVENT:

Cruise for a Cause is an annual event hosted by Energy Air, Inc. benefiting the Florida Hospital Diabetes Institute. Car show only parking / on site registration opens at Wekiva Island at 11:30am for those who don’t want to do the cruise. The cruise will pull into Wekiva Island approximately 12:30 and lunch will start about then.

ENTRY FEE:

Rider/Driver $25.00 each if registered and paid by 10/31/13 *
Passengers $20.00 each if registered and paid by 10/31/13 *
Lunch only / Spectator $20.00 each if registered and paid by 10/31/13 *
* Prices increase by $5.00 each as of 11/1/13.

T-shirts included with pre-registrations up to the first 150 participants.

Shirt size availability not guaranteed.

PACKET PICK UP & DAY OF REGISTRATION:

Pre-registered participants may pickup their packets Thursday, November 7th and Friday, November 8th from Energy Air Inc (map). Packet pickup will be available from 9:00am – 5:00pm both days. Participant waivers will need to be signed at the time of packet pickup by each person.

On-site registration and packet pickup will take place on the day of the event at Energy Air Inc (map) from 10:30am to 11:30am.

Police escorted cruise...no stopping at the traffic lights. This is a Mid Florida Camaro Club endorsed event and we hope to see some new faces and other clubs represented. There are going to be awards including a club participation award.

All money raised will go to the Florida Hospital Diabetes Institute. The money is earmarked to help people that are diagnosed with diabetes and can't afford the education classes to manage their disease.

Just a reminder for this event. This one is definitely different than your typical "sit in a parking lot" car show which is always our goal.

A Police Escorted motorcycle and car cruise through Northwest Orange County and finishing at Wekiva Island.

For those of you that haven't heard, the tiki bar at Wekiva Island burned down this past week but they will be re-opened this Friday. The owners are great people and don't charge us a dime to use their venue. So come out and support a fantastic business and a great cause.

All of the money stays right here in central Florida and is used to educate people with diabetes.

Only bringing one this year. David is having major issues with his left foot and can't drive the manual shift on either the Vette or my Camaro. Vette is going to the Veteran's show next weekend.

Yes, there is a cruise, everyone meets at Energy Air @10:00 that morning, after everyone is checked in there is a police escorted cruise from E.A. to Wekiva Island for food, music and fun. All of us Camaro owners will be grouped together at E.A. prior to leaving so come ride along with us we will keep a space for you.
