Test drove a buddy's Wrangler Unlimited

Anyone like Jeeps or is/was a Jeep owner?

I've got a 2011 LS and still love it. Have an almost 2 year old kiddo and everything has been fine between my car and the wife's Honda Pilot. Carseat is fine, stroller fits in the trunk, he tells me "vroom vroom" when I ask him what dadas car says. I know how to drive in snow and with my snow tires in the winter I've gotten around just fine.

But its always in the back of my head that we may have a 2nd child eventually so I'm just always kinda eyeballing what could be my next car.

I've been loving the look of the Wrangler Unlimited lately and saw a bunch at the beach on vacation. I really dig the idea of a vehicle I can take in any snow conditions, get into some mild offroad mudding stuff, and then pop off the top and doors in the summer and have a convertible

Someone at work has one and let me drive it. Pretty awesome but couldn't be more different than my Camaro. Definitely doesn't have the gusto(remembered how much I love my car running up the rpms on the way home today).

I had a Jeep and will say it's the only vehicle I regret selling. I'm seriously thinking of getting another in '16... hoping the rumors of a diesel offering are true. Better start saving for mods now!

Booo your wife can put 2 car seats in the pilot. I have my Camaro and my wife has a Cruze (no kids yet). The Camaro isn't going anywhere though.

Go Steelers!

I had a 2012 JK. It's cool, but gets old after a while. Lack of refinement gets to you on longer trips.

Hate to burst your bubble but the wranglers are god awful in the snow, their narrow wheel base is bad. I know multiple people who have spun out in them on the highway. Like literally spun in a circle.

Well I'm looking at the 4 door Unlimited. I don't think they'd have a problem at all. Hell, can't be worse than a Camaro lol!

We have 2 wrangler JK 4 doors.... The one reason my wife drives one is because they are great on the snow/icy roads we get here in Alberta!
Her's is a 2013 with the new pentastar motor, lots of power and full leather,,,,,,it's no fancy SUV but it's perfect for our climate and 2 young kids that make a mess of everything

Mine is pretty much just a trail jeep now....

Perhaps in 2wd.

I like my wrangler but if you do a lot of driving, it probably isn't an ideal vehicle.

Definitely not. Mine only had 7500 miles when I traded for my SS. Was so sick of it

So your comparing a jeep wrangler to a camaro? Lol.......ya mabey the jeep wrangler is not the best vehicle on the market but for the price and re-sale value it works great!

If I HAD to only drive 1 vehicle as a daily driver the jeep would be a consideration......

If you expect a perfect ride and a lot of comfort items.... Wrangler's aren't your thing.

If you like the idea of a glorified four wheeler... You'll probably love a wrangler.

The 2012 and newer models have a new engine and more power, mine is a 2009 2-door, I love it but wish it had more power.

I have a 2013 Unlimited 4-door, 3" lift and 33's. I drive it from Phoenix to Vegas a few times a year and it drives fine. I have custom bumpers/side rails and it makes me feel good knowing my wife/kid are in something safe (wife drove it through a block wall but that's a whole nother story).

I even tow my 19.5' wake boat with it, no issues.

I'll probably never get rid of it, but you have to understand it's not a "plush" SUV.
