12.55 @ 111 mph (CAI, Exhaust, Tune)
I ran today at BMP. The conditions were really good for S.W. Florida (around 60 degrees or so). It was extremely crowded. In 5 hours, I only got two runs, and I messed the first one up (hit the tap shift by accident). So I only got one clean run and ran
12.55 @ 111.62 mph. I've got an L99 A6. My mods are LMR intake, full exhaust (with Kooks 1 7/8 Headers), and a tune. |

Very nice times. I'm guessing you can get low 12s on a sticky tire

Darn you, you just bumped me down a spot, lol. J/K Great run!
Got to love that negative DA and a track that has an elevation of only 19 above sea level.

Yeah, the conditions were really good. I checked with dragtimes.com and the DA was -135 ft. That's probably why there were so many people. Like I said it was extremely crowded. You had to wait in line for 2.5 hours just to get 1 run. There were 2 other 2010 Camaro's there. The one guy (who I talked to and raced on one of my runs) was running 13.0 - 13.1 (L99 A6) with an Airraid CAI and Predator tune. It was a fun day but very stressful waiting in line for such a long time just to get a run. You had to be real careful not to mess up your run. |

Had you been able to get more runs in you probably would have gone a little faster. Keep raising that bar.

Yeah, I was seriously stressed after messing up that first run. I was just happy to get one good run. No more special event Runday Sundays for me.

Thanks, I think your time is pretty safe (as far as I'm concerned).
I do wish I would have had a couple more runs to try some different things. Because I messed up my first run by accidently hitting the tap shift (car got stuck in 2nd gear and hit the limiter so I aborted the run) in M mode, I made my second run in D. I have a more aggressive tranny tune in M mode. So I could have maybe picked up a .1 or so using M mode, but I didn't want to chance accidently hitting the tap shift again. I also waited 2.5 hours for my next run so I left the line real soft because I didn't want to chance spinning the tires. So I think I could have run a little faster (12.4's maybe but thats it). But there's no way I could have gotten down to your time. Also, the conditions were really good for my area. We rarely get a day when its 60 degrees, sunny, and the track is open for test and tune. Most of the time its warm and humid on track days (even in the winter). I'll probably try to improve my time in a few weeks. There's a couple test and tune days in January. But I dought I can run much faster with my current setup. So I think your time is quite safe. 12.2 with just headers, intake, and a tune (no other mods, stock wheels and tires, no weight reduction etc.) is going to be real hard to beat. |

The L99's are flying, I can't wait to mod mine after the winter.
