Height of passenger seat....

Has anyone found the height of the passenger seat being to low? I haven't found any way to adjust it up. Told my wife that she needs to find a thick Yellow pages to sit on to see out the windshield, LOL.

I've found that the passenger seat sits too high for myself and my friends. The driver's seat can go down further than the passenger seat. When I drive I have a good 1" or more of extra headroom. But when I sit in the passenger seat, my head is basically touching the ceiling. I'm 6'3'', my dad is 6'2'' and a good friend of mine is 6' 5''. We all have basically no headroom on the passenger side?

And yes, it does suck (for the passenger) that the seat can't be adjusted up and down. My 05 and 06 GTO had fully adjustable seats for both the driver and the passenger.

Yup. I've posted this on other threads. My wife is 5' 2" and needs to sit on a pillow to see comfortably out the windshield. Even tho the owners manual says you can adjust the height, you can't!!

Wait! You mean even in the 2LT and 2SS with both side power adjustable seats, the passenger seat can't go up & down?????

That was incorrect information also. We were originally told that the pass. seat would be power adjustable. It's NOT. It electronically reclines only. You adjust forward and back with a MANUAL lever and you CANNOT ADJUST THE SEAT HEIGHT at all. And it's too dam low to the floor for an avarage person!!

This IMO was a huge oversight or bad decision in this car's design. My wife is 5'3" and loves the car, but she often complains about not being able to see out of the passenger's side. I am going to have to use a couple pillows to put in her seat when we take a road trip.

When I ordered my car the GM build sheet said 2LT comes standard with power adjustable driver and passenger seats.

I hope I didn't throw it out....can someone else verify?? I know I discussed this on another thread with other people who said they were given the same info.

Yeah it is power adjustable, but only reclining.

If electric, would take forever to wait for it to move all the way forward so that people can get into the back.

And If you want a car that does both.... it gets a lot pricier. I think it should have power up and down controls though...

Sometime in the next few months I will be putting in Katzkin leather in my 1LT. I would have to assume that the seat is bolted with four bolts from the underside. Perhaps there's room for some spacers to go in between the seats and the floor. Prolly not much, but you never know.

Actually with the way I drive my wife never wants to see out the window.... but she's a normal sized 5'6 so she still has to recline to miss all the "fun"
