WA - Special Plates. Worth it?
In the past, I've thought about getting some special plates for the Camaro. There are a few designs that I like -- 'National Parks' is my favorite design.
I just received my renewal notice for my standard issue WA plates and the state wants $150 and change simply for the registration renewal. Special plates (at least for the NP design) cost $40 for the plates, and an additional $40 for each renewal. That means my total bill for renewal would have been almost $200!!!! I might do it if I knew that the additional money actually went to something "National Parks" related. Does anyone know where the extra spend actually goes? Do you have special plates? Do you think it's worth it? |

Most of the plate money goes straight to its benefactor. A worthwhile cause.

I like mine - but the extra they wanted for the "special" plates was a bit much I thought.
