Called one of the technicians, they are talking with Chevy technical support about the issue.

Cylinder 3 is misfiring, and they are looking into coolant possibly getting onto the spark plugs.

I am still going to have them go forward with the upper induction cleaning.

Had the misfire on my '13 Camaro Vert LFX, took it into dealer, #2 spark plug had coolant on it, Chevy changed head on left side.....manufacturer had problems with castings....there is a TSB on it. Chevy would not change right side head. Chevy did change coil and wire on #2 as part of the changeout.

I've since had more problems with the engine misfire since I last posted. Had to send the car to the dealership to get completely inspected. They kept the car overnight and gave me a rental vehicle.

According to the dealership, they cleaned a noticeable amount of carbon off the internals and reset the ECU. I was charged 100 dollars for the carbon cleaning even though the vehicle is under a full extended warranty.

The dealership also did not want to let GM look at my vehicle and gave the reason that my bolt-on performance mods would void my engine warranty.

Does a cold air intake, catch can, and axle back exhaust really void my warranty? Or was this just the service technicians way of trying to tell me they don't want to look into this further?

The problem seemed fixed and the car idled at a lower rpm, but when I accelerate now, the CEL will flash. This will almost always happen at 4-4.5k+ rpm.

EDIT: Two hours after I wrote this, the CEL came back on an Onstar confirmed engine misfire code p0300 for the THIRD TIME. Getting extremely irritated now, because I am active duty military about to deploy overseas in a week and now my family has to deal with this mess.

None of your mods should void warranty. Bring it to another dealer.

that sux, I'd look into the spark plug/coil#3 suspect. I have a CAI, catch can, and cat-back exhaust and for them to blame it on that is just foolish. Now for the carbon build-up, if you 'drive it like you stole it', it's surely possible...
