Moving Camaro to Germany/Exhaust too loud?

Good afternoon everyone,

I'm in the US Air Force and I am going to be moving my Camaro to Germany. According to the base website motor vehicles exceeding a noise level of 95 decibels will be rejected.

Does anyone recommend an exhaust that doesn't exceed 95 dB? I wanted to purchase a Borla Axle-back but I am worried about it being too loud. I currently have a x-pipe and muffler delete which I am sure is definitely too loud for German standards. Thank you!

I would go with a GM NPP system personally. I can be really quiet when you want it to be, and loud when you want it to be.

I've got a set of GM Performance mufflers that bolt up the the factory exhaust that are very mellow but have a really great tone I'm trying to get rid of if you're looking for something different, only about 10k miles on them asking $250 OBO

Are these the same as the Borla Touring?

Do you need a computer system that can switch between the different exhaust notes? I don't think my 2011 SS has that ability.

You could go with the factory non NPP catback. I'm sure that would keep it under 95 dB.

It's a vacuum system that closes the valve, otherwise, NPP be open always.. Idk how much, mine came factory. You would need a new diffuser for the quad tips, a different route would be better if it's only in Germany temporarily.

Do you still have your stock stuff? Once you pass inspection you could run your stuff for 2 years til next inspection.

The Force II (part# 817506) is our mildest exhaust system for your Camaro and may be just what you're looking for. The Flowmaster Force II (part# 817506) will have a mild exhaust note, nothing overwhelming and manufactured in the USA from 409S steel. The system includes mandrel bent piping, all hardware for ease of installation and a lifetime, limited warranty. I have included some sound clips below. Please feel free to PM me with questions or call us at 707-544-4761 to activate your Camaro5 Forum discount code CAMARO10.

Been here for 12 years. Seen many have exhaust that was to loud. Try to install some stock stuff and bring you aftermarket pieces in your house hold goods. Once inspected put on what you want.

This is what I'm doing for mine. I move there in October and took off my high flow cats and put the stock resonators back on. Brought my DB level down from 96 to 89 on the NPP exhaust.
