As far as I know it would be. I'm going to be calling the track this morning so I'll ask them about that too. There are no grand stands. You would be basically only able to see the "short" course part of it.

On to the weather.

I'm looking at my iPhone app and it's saying 70% chance of rain for Saturday. However, listening to the local news and looking at their website show only a 30% chance of rain in the evening, and ZERO percent chance during the day! Let's hope.

I'm going with the local news over an iPhone app which has been wrong more than right for Austin local weather.

The rain is clearing out here right now. The sun is even poking through.

I've honestly never tried to use their forum so I can't tell you anything about it. They strike me as the people that are more worried about making sure you drive well instead of worrying about their website. LOL

I'm leaving work early to go get a wheel alignment, then head home to change out my race brake pads, and load the trailer. I'm hoping it's dry tomorrow...been looking forward to it for some time.

I also hope they let us run the long course early assuming it's dry.

Things are looking good at this point. I'm getting excited! The sun is poking out a bit more and more. Very light breezes and the temp in the shop is 77! Maybe the good Lord will provide once more!

Glad to hear its looking good up there. I won't be able to make it once all is said and done. I am not canceling that way if you do end up with a rani day perhaps they will let me participate if I am here. Otherwise I hope to see some good video after.

DUDE! That sucks! Sorry to hear that. Hope everything is okay. I just got off the phone with Bill Dollahite and he's saying unless it's pouring/lightening we're running. "...it's all part of the experience. Learning car control in all weather types... Besides, race track pavement isn't the same as surface streets..."

We'll see. The weather is getting better as the day goes on. Right now would be great at the track.

REMINDERS:

Clean out your car - If it's not attached, remove it. This includes the glove box.

Full tank of gas! - We will easily be using a full tank of gas by the end of the day.

Observers are welcome but there are little to no accommodations for them.

If you bring a child that needs watching, you also need to bring someone that can watch them.

If you've made arrangements to park your trailer or something at the track you should call him ASAP to set that up. That way he knows when to be there for you.
