the only way i could see the 1le getting the shaft, is if the ls7 equipped camaro is priced very close or same with it.

Maybe I'm the odd guy out here but I can't see the current Camaro getting anLS7 option. That is an expensive engine.

How much more does a LS7 cost over a LS3?

The LS7 is probably 2x the price but primarily because it is hand built. They could do a mas produced version and it would only be marginally more expensive.

I could live with that. Chevy could easily do a 1le ls7 for under $45k.

I think there is more to it than just cost / price.

I bet they'll just call it "Camaro 427" edition just like they did for the corvette convertible with the 7.0 LS7. So they can save the Z/28 name for the next gen Camaro.

I think all of the 1LE buyers have gotten the shaft. Because of this unfortunate mess you have gotten yourself into, I will be nice and buy your 1LE for half of the price you bought it for. That way you can walk away from this disaster with something to show for.

Me too. No Z28 or twin turbo v6 for the 5th gen.

Why not call it a Z28?

Same reason they didn't call the ZL1 or 1LE a Z28....
