You are not wrong. The Buget of Bev Hills and Santa Monica is a private franchise. They only rent exotic and hard to finds.

In fact, she does. But you're probably too good for her. I picked the right lady in that family

The test drive was AWESOME! I paid for insurance for the car, and I just took that car to the limits.

The minute I got on the 10 FRWY I took it up to about 100. Went down about 2 miles, then out of nowhere a cop came up to my passenger side, looked at me, and yelled "slow down" and drove away. At that point I realized I was going to be a rockstar for a day.

About 30 miles later a "beautiful" Roush Mustang came up to me and wanted to race. I wanted to drive a little more to the straightaway on the 60, from Azusa until about Brea Canyon. Well, he beat me, but only because I was a little more nervous of weaving through traffic in a rental car.

When I brought the car home, and took the pics (see first post) Both my neighbors came over to my driveway and asked "Did you just buy ANOTHER car?"(I just bought a new CTS a month ago) I said I have one on order and they were all in jawdropped awe.

I took it out for another drive to my folks house. Down to Temecula. Had another Mustang come up to race me but I had to decline (I had my 7 yr old in the car) and a '02 Z28 weaved in and out of traffic from 5 exits back to get side by side with me and take a few pics with his phone. He did like a C with his hand and a 5 and then a thumbs up, so I assume he's on here somewhere!

At Temecula, I had to stop and gas up the car already. But upon stopping, business at this little Chevron station just came to a total halt while everybody came too look at the car, ask me questions, take pictures. Two young ladies wanted to take a picture with my fat ass! Needless to say, I obliged but I knew they were more interested in the background of the pic...

At my folks house, my dad was ear to ear in smiles and excitement. Not since his 82 Z-28 that he ordered would he show this much excitement. They rode around in it, and both "blessed" the purchase coming in a few weeks. He was able to do some burnouts, and a donut, in an automatic! He made it work. He loves the narrow cut of the windows and the pure power of the car.

So, after all that, let's talk about the car:

Exterior - having seen it several times, having touched it twice, I now got to really take a look at the car. This particular IOM car had A LOT of paint errors; dimples, scratches, uneven flaking. The fascia and the mirrors (plastic) was a different tint then the metal of the car. You have to REALLY look at it to notice though. (8/10 pts)

Interior - The seats are SOOOO comfortable. The leather is so much more supple and soft compared to my CTS, which is hard. The Camaro seats almost seem to contour to you, and minimal adjustment is needed. Because I'm tall, I moved the power seat all the way down and all the way back. That's all it needed. Contrary to other reports here, no problems with pillars, fit and finish, anything of that nature. It was perfect. (10/10 pts)

Electronics - The Radio takes a little bit of acclimation. The climate controls take all but a second, but to control the radio was a little different. I used my GM Ipod cable from the CTS and plugged in my Ipod. No worky from USB. Only Aux. I HOPE AND PRAY that its just a different cable I need, or that will be my first THROWN FIT when I get mine. The Boston Acustics system was fine, the Bass range is good, but it causes the plastic doors to rattle very easily. The menu controls and selecting thru the DIC on the dash screen was actually a little challenging while driving, but only 3 main menus, so it can be done. The ambient lighting......oooohhh man....I had been waiting for a year to see this one thing in person. While I wish it had gone all across the dash, I am happy with the doors and remain confident that it will be available aftermarket or otherwise. (8.5/10pts)

Exhaust - The factory exhaust on this car is just fine. The note is great. BUT I know I will be changing mine out when I get my car. Probably just go with the GMPP one and the CAI. I want something a little deeper, longer. But out of the box this one will suffice for most people. (8/10pts)

Engine - At 426 HP and 0-60 in sub 5 seconds (yes, I tested, and yes it is!) I can say the power in this car is raw and unleashed. You can feel every horse you use (and dont use) and it is VERY easy to whip your neck right out when you floor that accelerator. PURE POWER! (10/10pts)

Transmission - I opted for the M6 and I am glad I did. I did not care for the Automatic that was in this car. The shift points seem a bit misaligned, and the TAP Shift, don't even get me started. It's useless, because if you mis the shift point, the computer shifts for you anyway, making your buttons fruitless and futile. In my CTS, I dont have TAP on the wheel, but more on the stick. In my CTS, I can redline and shift, without the computer doing it for me. The computer DOES do it at a certain point, but only after I've gone beyond a certain range of tolerablity. The Camaros shift points are so low in the first three speeds it is generally useless, except maybe to downshift. (6.5/10)

Trunk - Most of us has seen this trunk. It is a cause for good humor by many people, including the people that stopped to look at it. But, as others have said, this performance car is not your "go to Costco" storage area. This is meant for a case of beer, some tools, and a bucket of paint. (8/10)

Tires/Wheels - The summer tires were grabby and very good. Considering the 20 inch size, the sound was very good. On the road the only road noise is the throaty engine. The tires and wind create NO noise. If I mute the radio and let go of the gas going at 65-75mph, ALL you here is the idle of the exhaust. The window indexing makes ALL the difference in the world. It is SOOO tight! (10/10pts)

Overall - My score is about 8.75 out of 10. I know I will be VERY happy with this car when I get it. There will be some things to get used to electronics wise, but we'll see where it takes us. I can hardly wait!
