I did the street burnishing procedure per the Z06 procedure, worked a treat, with good smell and colouration to the pads afterwards. Just had first proper dry track outing yesterday, brakes were faultless.

Best brakes I've ever had on a car, bar none. Still loving the car after (I'm guessing) 1,000 track miles...

Report back when you have to replace these pads and rotors......

Wonder how much the cost will be.

50 times in 10 minutes, I can guarantee I will loose count, I will just try a 10 minute timer.

So, if I understand this correctly.

You always have to do the burnishing procedure for STREET, when the temp drops after the car has been sitting for awhile.

Asking because I am in the market for a Z/28.

I drove mine normally about 7 miles with a number of red lights and stop signs on the way to road I needed to do the burnishing on. Did the burnishing/smoking/increasing brake pedal travel routine probably around 50 times then did the 10 minute cool down with no real brake usage. All is good. Seemingly scary great brakes!
