Maybe someone can explain. I'm not the dumbest book on the shelf, but what is the difference between ported and non ported throttle body? meaning what is it about the part that makes a differene? to me it looks like one is shinning and one is not. Thank you.

here is a pic of my old one on the left and the CNC'd on the right. you can tell that the inlet wall is thinner allowing for the incoming air to flow smoother removing the turbulence created by the lip. im sure there is more technical stuff going on there, but thats about all i know. the gain is 4-5 RWHP where they showed a peak of 12 HP. not sure, but i believe those results were on a stock setup. it helps with the lag between the 2-3K RPM range where it feels like it bogs down when your trying to get on it.
